Metallica Live In Singapore
When Metallica performed in Singapore on Aug 24, 2013, the only stage barriers that the band would accept to ensure crowd safety was “The Mojo Barriers”. Up until that time, the real Mojo Barriers did not exist in S.E. Asia and for years only fabricated knock offs claiming to be “Mojo” had been available to promoters. With 3 massive shows scheduled for Kuala Lumpur, Singapore & Jakarta in August 2013, Metallica made it very clear that unless the real Mojo Barriers were used, there would be no shows! Subsequently we were introduced to Craig Edwards, General Manager at Mojo Barriers Australia who travelled to Singapore in August 2013 for the Metallica S.E. Asia Tour which was organized by LAMC Productions.
“We immediately identified Singapore as a suitable target to base Mojo Barriers equipment. We met Ross (Knudson) and the LAMC Productions team during that visit and had preliminary discussions about partnering up. Through further exploration and follow up meetings, it became a no-brainer to entrust the Mojo Barriers business in Singapore to Ross and LAMC. Their performance on the Metallica Tour alone was impressive – their commitment to providing quality equipment and ensuring customer satisfaction mirrors the values of Mojo Barriers."
“The Singapore entertainment and concert market continues to grow, the demand for quality products and the highest safety standards is increasing at a fast rate. We are committed to setting the benchmark for the highest crowd safety product and service in Singapore, which will give international production managers, local promoters and the Singapore Government peace of mind for the well-being of audiences and artists." Says Ross Knudson Co-Owner of LAMC Productions.
Working in partnership with The Mojo Barriers’ Australian office, LAMC Productions will hold an extensive selection of Mojo’s crowd barrier products including aluminium straight sections, vario corners, flexi corners and snake gates. The first show of the Mojo/LAMC partnership was KODALINE on Aug 13, 2015 at Scape Playspace where Mojo provided 200m of barrier sections to meet the events full requirements.

About Mojo Barriers
Mojo Barriers was born in 1988 from a desire within Holland-based Mojo Concerts to improve management of crowds through the deployment of safe and sustainable barrier options for live events. Mojo has since become the leading global provider of stage barriers and global industry standard for the past 20 years, working with some of largest and most successful tours and events including U2, Metallica, Madonna, The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen.
In 1998 Mojo Barriers developed an aluminium barrier system which is quickly introduced to the market. The change in material from steel to aluminium resulted in a forty per cent weight saving, meaning the product is much more cost effective to both transport and set up. This aluminium barrier is Mojo Barriers’ most successful product, continuing to set standards across the industry and be copied by many over a decade later.
In 2005 Mojo Barriers developed the Barrier Load Monitor System (BLMS). The BLMS is a new system designed to measure the pressure applied to a barrier by crowds and represents a significant step forwards in health and safety of crowds attending live events.
In 2007 Mojo Barriers launches a research programme utilising the BLMS and in partnership with Bucks New University. Launched at Roskilde Festival in Denmark the research aims to provide – for the first time – scientific research on the best barrier configurations to keep crowds safe; the research is ongoing to date.
In 2009 Mojo Barriers launched its Gatekeeper system, a unique turnstile product which captures real time data and can be used for event entrance sites and VIP areas.
Mojo Barriers is the original international supplier of aluminium stage barrier systems, providing an extensive range of products and services to live events including festivals, tours, corporate events, sporting and cultural occasions. The favourite among event organisers looking for a safe, sustainable and cost effective system, Mojo Barriers continual investment in research and development results in proprietary event barriers and related products which are adaptable, reliable and proven to improve safety. Mojo Barriers is skilled at working closely with clients to design and build bespoke event barrier configurations and layouts for each event to ensure optimum safety for guests, performers and crew. Offering an international network, Mojo Barriers has been the trusted global stage barrier supplier for over twenty years.
